PURALUBE independently produces sutainable and high quality Base Oils.

Puralube Germany GmbH (Puralube) is the German subsidiary of Puralube, Inc., Wayne (Ps./USA) a US holding company. Currently Puralube operates two recycling plants with a total throughput of 150,000 tons p. a. nearby Zeitz/Germany (40 km south of Leipzig) They work on the basis of the innovative HyLubeTM high pressure hydrogenation process to produce high quality API Group II base oils from used lubricating oil.

Since mid 2004, Puralube has been operating the world's first process plant based on the UOP-HyLube™ process. In 2008, Puralube starting up its second plant in order to meet the tremendous demand for Puralube base oils.

The two plants are essentially identical and each has a nameplate capacity of 75,000 tons per year. The two plants consume about 150,000 tons of used oil (wet volume) to produce about 90,000 tons base oils and 50,000 tons by-products per year. Today, approximately 105 employees care for production, quality assurance, sales and administration.
